Tequila Inspired. Real Wood Fired

Agave Southwestern Grill and Tequila Bar is hosting a four-course tequila dinner featuring Casa Noble Tequila Wednesday, March 27 at 6 p.m.

Executive Chef Greg Scarlatos has masterfully designed a four-course menu to showcase the authentic flavors of America’s Southwest: mojo-seared bass, “black” couscous, roasted tomato-olive salad with Meyer lemon oil, paired with Casa Noble’s Blanco; crispy ancho-bacon pheasant, pommery-cascabel aioli, pan-roasted squash and citrus-mache salad served with Casa Noble’s Reposado; smoked plantain leaf pork, braised mustard greens, sweet yam blini with prickly pear-cider sauce, paired with Casa Noble’s Anejo; and finished with a margarita parfait and Casa Noble’s Single Barrel.

Casa Noble Tequila has been producing premium tequilas for more than 200 years. The exceptional spirit is created using only traditional production methods and is triple distilled to ensure purity and quality. The tequila is then casked in white French oak barrels to give the spirit even more complexity and flavor. The entire production process has been approved USDA Organic, an accomplishment that Casa Noble displays proudly on their hand-blown glass bottle.

The tequila dinner is priced at $80 per couple (plus tax and gratuity). Space is limited and reservations are required at 239-598-3473.

Angelina’s Ristorante and Agave Southwestern Grill responded to the needs of the Lee County Domestic Animal Services’ Community Pet Pantry and The Humane Society Naples during Dog Days of Summer.

Angelina’s once again supported Lee County Domestic Animal Services’ Community Pet Pantry and donated 1,020 cans and 52 bags of dog food. Agave answered the needs of The Humane Society Naples, to celebrate their first summer in Naples, with a donation of 3,432 cans of dog food.

Angelina’s and Agave partnered with Discount Pets & Supplies, who matched the restaurants donations pound for pound in dog food, while lending a helping hand to a vitally important service in Lee and Collier counties.

“We are extremely grateful for Angelina’s continued support of our pet pantry. A substantial donation, such as this, is truly life-saving when supplies are critically low,” said Ria Brown, public information officer, Lee County Domestic Animal Services.

“We were excited to expand our efforts to Collier County through Agave Southwestern Grill,” said Ken Knief, director of operations for Epic Food Concepts, operator of Angelina’s and Agave. “Our customers once again surpassed expectations in support of two great animal shelters.”

“We are extremely grateful to Agave Southwestern Grill and Discount Pets & Supplies for their generous donation of much-needed food that resulted from the Dog Days of Summer promotion,” said Michael Simonik, executive director of The Humane Society Naples. “Our pets have benefited directly as a result of this effort and we look forward to partnering with Agave and Discount Pets & Supplies again in the future.”

“Partnering with Angelina’s Ristorante, and now Agave Southwestern Grill, to support Lee County Domestic Animal Services’ Community Pet Pantry as well as The Humane Society Naples is a win-win for the Southwest Florida community,” said Brad Holman, owner of Discount Pets & Supplies.

Lee County Domestic Animal Services is a tax-funded government domestic stray animal control agency. LCDAS established the Community Pet Pantry program to temporarily assist pet owners in financial crisis to keep pets in loving, responsible homes rather than surrendered to overcrowded shelters. The program provides complimentary pet food and supplies for Lee County residents. Lee County Domestic Animal Services is located at 5600 Banner Drive in Fort Myers.
